Dubai is one of the most advanced cities and emirate in UAE. In terms of area, it is the second largest and most populous city. Dubai has emerged as a hot spot of trade & commerce in the Persian Gulf region.
Dubai has become a center of attraction of world because of its tall buildings and large construction projects. It has the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa. Some of the well-known industries of Dubai are aviation, hospitality & tourism, real estate, and finance.
The emirate of Dubai is located on the Persian Gulf coast. It shares its borders with Sharjah, Oman & Abu Dhabi. Dubai experiences a hot desert climate. Summers are extremely harsh with the temperature around 41°C. Winters are also very warm having an average temperature of about 24°C.
Dubai has emerged as a hot spot for various trade & commerce activities. Nearly all the MNC’s have set up their base in Dubai. Some of the famous IT companies like Hewlett-Packard, EMC Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Microsoft, and IBM, and media organizations such as MBC, CNN, BBC, Reuters, Sky News and AP have established their base in Dubai.
